  • The player who serves the ball should always stand 6 feet away from the roundnet.
  • An opposing team aiming at preventing the other team from getting the ball hence a replay.
  • The ball hitting the rim.
  • The player serving the ball is only allowed to pivot but not to move sideways when serving.
  • The ball should always reach conveniently to the opposing team without a player putting effort or jumping to reach it. Failure to this the team can always call on a fault and the ball is served again.
  • A player touching the roundnet during the game is not allowed and the team they represent usually gets deducted a point.

Principles of Spike Ball

A game of spike ball involves hitting the ball on the ground such that the opponents are not able to reach the ball and return it to the other serving team. The allowed number of touches is three after which the ball is expected to have hit the net. The ball can also be touched using any part of the body and any contact with any body part is considered as a touch. The only different rule in spike ball that differs from volleyball is the fact that there is no side during the game. Players from any team are allowed to move all over around the net at the center.
