Important Things to Know about Custom Maps
People don’t need any special tools to build a personalized map for themselves or others. Google Maps is all they need the ability to customize their pinpoints, shapes, and directions to a personalized map. Here’s how clients need to use Google Maps on the either desktop to do this. Once they are ready, select the “Add Marker” button from the menu of the custom new update below the search bar.
Click on a map area with either mouse or trackpad. The marker editor will open—add an acceptable name and definition and then select “Save” to add to one’s map.
Lines or forms to be added
To highlight those fields, clients can add individual lines and shapes to the custom map.
To do that, in the menu under the search bar, click on “Draw a Line” and then select the “Shap or Add Line” option.
Draw a line using either mouse or trackpad in the appropriate region on the map—use many lines to create the combined form. In the pop-up menu, add a customized name and definition to each item to validate “Save.”
Build customized guidelines
They can also use a custom map to exchange instructions from A to B via the development of an address layer. For this purpose, in the menu under the search bar, click on the “Add instructions” option to build this layer.
To add on, the layer of instructions is shown in the left menu. Add to the text box “A” and the entry point to the text box “B” one’s starting point. The map updates the path between the defined locations after the “A” and “B” boxes have been filled.
They could only display that custom map by default, but share it with others. To do this, go to the website of Google MyMaps, login, and select the ‘Managed’ tab to list that custom map.
Tap on the “Share Map” button to share it with others. This helps anyone to share a personalized map via e-mail, or by embedding it on his or her website, on different social media sites.
